Welcome
Welcome to MyNewPlace! MyNewPlace makes finding your new place easy, efficient and successful by providing the largest online marketplace connecting renters and property owners, many of whom offer cash back when you move into their place. A simple and easy-to-use interface with powerful search and comparison tools and no distracting ad banners ensure you find your new place. When you rent your apartment through our site, tell us, and you may receive $100 cash back.
Why Register?
When you register, you can save the places you like and view them at a later time, view the details of available apartments, and get cash back if you sign a lease and move in to an apartment.
Creating a Password
Passwords are required to be a minimum of 6 characters and a maximum of 20 including any combination of numbers letters and special characters that is not your email address.
Forgot your Password?
If you have forgotten your password, don't worry. Select Forgot Password from the Sign In page and enter your email address. If you forgot your password, enter the email address you used when you registered. You'll receive a Password Assistance email with instruction about how to reset your password.
Locked Account
If multiple failed attempts have been made to sign in to your account, your account will be locked. Should this occur, you can re-set your password by clicking Reset Your Password on the Account Locked page.
Changing Your Information
Select My Account from MyFavorites to change your account information. Click Save Changes to save the new information.
Finding Your New Place
To start searching for your new place, enter a city and state or zip code and a list of available apartments and apartment communities in that area is displayed. On the Search Results page, you can refine your search and specify places within 1-50 miles of a particular area, a rent range, pet policy, as well as particular amenities.
Searching for Affordable Housing
Select Affordable Housing under the list of Amenities to find properties that cooperate with housing assistance programs.
Refining Your Search
The following table lists the amenities you can specify when searching for your new place. The more specific you are, the better the search results are and they'll include the places that best fit your needs. To view all amenities, click View All Amenities while searching.
Note that Recreational Facilities may include a club house, recreation room, BBQ or picnic area, sundeck, or courtyard. Exercise Facilities may include a fitness center or sports court for tennis or basketball.

Visiting the Apartment
To view an apartment that you're interested in, contact the apartment community's staff to set up an appointment. For your convenience, click Ask About Availability at the top of the Detailed Listing Page to email the apartment staff directly from MyNewPlace.
Reserve An Apartment
To reserve your new home click on the Check link on a participating floor plan. A new window will appear that displays the available units at the property based on your criteria. Choose the floor plan you are interested in and fill out the corresponding fields with your information and submit the form. When you visit the property don't forget to write MyNewPlace on the Guest Card and Application.
Getting Your Cash Back
When you rent your apartment through MyNewPlace, tell us, and you can earn $100 cash back.
Qualifying for Cash Back
To qualify for your cash back all you have to do is:
- When you visit a place you found at MyNewPlace, tell them! (Print a coupon or put MyNewPlace on their coupon and your lease application)
- Sign a lease
- Submit your cash back claim
Claiming Cash Back
To claim your cash back:
- Once you've signed a lease, click the Claim Your Cash link or the Claim Your Cash icon on the apartment's Detailed Listing page.
- Select your property.
- Tell us about your lease.
- Tell us how to send your cash to receive your check.
Once you have submitted your cash back claim, you'll receive a confirmation email that includes the claim number. Click MyFavorites at the top of the page to check the status of your claim. As soon as we confirm your eligibility, we'll send you your cash.
Understanding the Status of a Claim
The status of a claim can include:
Submitted: The claim has been accepted and has been sent to the property for verification.
Approved: The information about your lease has been verified by the apartment staff and approved for payment.
Payment Pending Until Move In Date: The claim has been approved but you have not moved in to your new place yet. Once you have, a check will be mailed to you.
Past Move In Date: You viewed this property after you moved in. As part of the Cash Back Terms of MyNewPlace, the date you viewed the property on MyNewPlace cannot be after the date you signed your lease.
Denied: Your claim has been denied by the property for one of the following reasons:
- Renter name not recognized
- Renter claims to be referred by another source
- Already approved this lease
- Other Reasons
Stalled Claims
If your claim has not been approved with seven days after submittal, contact the apartment staff directly and remind them to verify your claim. As soon as we get verification, we'll approve your cash back. We pay you after you move in.
Denied Claims
If your has been denied, and you do not agree, contact our customer care by sending an email to consumercare@mynewplace.com.
As a reminder, as part of the Terms of the Cash Back, the date on which you viewed the property on MyNewPlace cannot be after the date on which you signed your lease.
When filing a cash back claim, make sure you use the same name and email address that you used when you viewed your property on MyNewPlace.
Apartment Page Help
The apartment page provides the floor plan, description, and if available, photos of the inside and outside of the apartment community. It also includes the details of any cash back and other move-in specials offered.
Click Claim Your Cash once you've signed a lease to get your cash.
